Co-curricular Activities

Sports & Co-curricular activities

To facilitate all-round development of our students, Sandur Polytechnic encourages sports and cultural activities.

The Polytechnic has a large playground where team games like Football, Cricket, Hockey and Volleyball are played. There are also facilities for indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess.

In our calendar of events, the first week of December is devoted to inter-departmental sports and cultural competitions and activities. Competitions are also held at the beginning of the academic session to select and train students for participation in Taluk, District and State level sports and cultural meets.

Yoga & Meditation

Adding to the holistic approach, Sandur Polytechnic has integrated Yoga and Meditation into its curriculum, recognizing the importance of mental and physical well-being. Regular yoga sessions are conducted, providing students with a valuable tool to manage the demands of their academic and professional pursuits effectively. Students are trained and encourage to make meditation a part of daily routine for a healthy, peaceful and happy life.
